This Chicken Shawarma Wrap is a simple family favorite packed with bold, savory flavors. Juicy marinated chicken, fresh herbs, creamy garlic sauce, and crispy lavash come together for an easy and delicious meal that’s perfect for any day of the week.

This Chicken Shawarma Wrap has quickly become a family favorite in our home. The chicken is marinated in a flavorful blend of yogurt, warm spices, lemon, and tomato paste, then cooked until tender and juicy. It’s layered onto thin lavash with a fresh parsley and sumac topping and creamy homemade garlic sauce before being wrapped and toasted until perfectly golden and crispy.
I love serving it with homemade fries, cooked until perfectly golden and crispy in my Beautiful By Drew air fryer, with extra garlic sauce on the side for dipping. It’s packed with so much flavor but still simple enough to make at home for an easy lunch or family dinner.

Chicken Shawarma Instructions
Marinate the chicken
In a large bowl, add the thinly sliced chicken thighs and combine the olive oil, seasonings and yogurt. Toss until every piece is well coated in the marinade.
Cook the chicken.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned on the outside and completely cooked through, tossing occasionally so the pieces cook evenly.
Make the garlic sauce.
Mince the garlic and put it in a bowl with, mayonnaise, salt, black pepper and lemon juice and mix until smooth.
Prepare French fries
Slice a potato into long strips like French fries, pat the dry with a paper towel and coat them with oil and seasonings, place them in the air fryer, and cook at 380°F for 15-20 minutes.
Prepare the parsley topping.
Combine the chopped parsley and red onion with olive oil, fresh lemon juice, sumac, salt, and black pepper. Toss well and set aside.
Make the outside sauce.
Combine the olive oil, tomato paste, pomegranate molasses, paprika, a pinch of salt and mix until smooth.
Assemble the shawarma.
Lay out a piece of lavash and layer with the chicken shawarma, garlic sauce, and parsley topping. Roll the lavash tightly into a wrap.
Toast until crispy.
Brush the outside of the wrap with the tomato sauce. Place it seam-side down in a hot skillet and toast for about 2 minutes per side, turning as needed to get the edges golden and crispy.
Serve & Enjoy
Slice the crispy chicken shawarma wraps in half and serve warm with the crispy fries and extra garlic sauce on the side for dipping. Enjoy immediately while everything is hot and crispy!
