Nothing beats a warm, cozy cup of hot chocolate during the holidays. It is one of my favorite simple traditions to share with my family, especially on chilly evenings at home.

There is something so comforting about gathering in the kitchen, warming up milk on the stove, and letting the whole house fill with the smell of chocolate and cinnamon. For this recipe, I am using the classic Nestle Rich Milk Chocolate mix. It is the same hot chocolate I grew up drinking, and it always gives that nostalgic, creamy taste we all love during the holiday season.
This recipe is quick, simple, and so cozy. It has the classic richness you want in a holiday hot chocolate, with a small twist at the end that deepens the chocolate flavor in the best way.
Hot Chocolate Ingredients
(2 serving)
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons Nestle Rich Milk Chocolate powder
Splash of vanilla extract
1 cinnamon stick
Pinch of salt
Marshmallows
Instant coffee (for topping, optional but highly recommended)
Hot Chocolate Instructions:
Warm the milk - Add the milk to a small pot and heat over medium until warm, not boiling.
Add the chocolate and spices - Whisk in the Nestle Rich Milk Chocolate powder, a splash of vanilla, the cinnamon stick, and a pinch of salt. Continue stirring until everything is smooth and well combined.
Simmer gently - Let the mixture warm for a few minutes so the cinnamon infuses into the hot chocolate.
Serve - Remove the cinnamon stick and pour into your favorite mug.
Optional flavor boost - Top with marshmallows and a small sprinkle of instant coffee. It does not make the drink taste like coffee, but it enhances the chocolate flavor and makes it richer and deeper.
This cozy homemade hot chocolate has become one of our favorite holiday traditions. It is warm, creamy, lightly spiced, and so easy to make using Nestle Rich Milk Chocolate. It brings that nostalgic flavor my family loves and makes every winter moment feel a little more special.
