A Refreshing Persian Cucumber, Tomato, and Herb Salad

A Crunchy and Refreshing Salad with Persian Cucumbers, Tomatoes, and Herbs
Shirazi Salad is a Persian classic and one of my favorite side dishes. It’s light, refreshing, and made with just a few simple ingredients—cucumber, tomato, red onion, and fresh parsley.
Tossed with lemon, salt, and pepper, it’s the perfect balance of crisp and tangy flavors.
This salad pairs beautifully with almost any meal, from Persian rice dishes to grilled chicken or even a cozy stew. It’s quick to make, colorful on the table, and always a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients for Persian Shirazi Salad
Persian cucumbers, diced
2 tomatoes, diced
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp lemon pepper
Salt to taste
Instructions
Dice the cucumbers and tomatoes into small, even pieces.
Finely chop the red onion and parsley.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cucumber, tomato, onion, and parsley.
Season with salt, lemon pepper, and fresh lemon juice. Toss well.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes for the flavors to blend.
This Shirazi Salad is a go-to side dish that adds freshness and crunch to any meal. It’s simple, quick, and full of flavor—just the kind of recipe I love to keep on repeat in my kitchen.
